Iglesia Emanuel Campus Initiative

Kenosha, WI

The Emanuel church has been in existence for 40 years, of which I have been the pastor for 23. We are a first-generation church, but with a vision to reach all generations. We have a diverse group of members from all over Latin America from countries such as Mexico, Puerto Rico, Honduras, and Belize. As a multicultural church, we have the privilege of offering both a Spanish and English service.

For the past 20 years, one of our biggest callings has been church planting. We have successfully helped to planted churches in The United States, Mexico, and Honduras. As a leap of faith, we created teams made of our long-time members and friends for the sole purpose of direct church planting. In Lake County, and we have successfully planted three churches, The Journey Church, Casa de Vida and Casa de Oración. As Latin Americans, we understood the over-welling poverty and the great need for the gospel. After numerous mission trips to Latin America, we were called to plant two more churches. One in Mexica and one in Honduras.

For more than a year we have prayed and prepared to go and open a new place to reach the Hispanic community. We believe that God has placed the city of Kenosha in our hearts. We have a team of more than 30 people from Emanuel that have helped grown three new small groups in Kenosha. Our prayer and our plan is to have our first service in the month of October. Thank you for all your support and prayers and we hope that with your help God’s kingdom can be expanded.

I thank God for my wife Marilu with whom I am happily married for more than 28 years together. We have two wonderful children, Joshua and Luis Enrique. I thank God for the Emanuel church, for the team of leaders with whom He allows me to serve and enjoy what I do as a pastor and as a leader.
