Partridge Point Community Church Initiative

Metamora, IL

We became Christians as students at Illinois State University in 1999. Neither of us had much of a background in Christianity and the Bible at all. But after years of living for this world and trying to establish our own kingdoms, we realized there is a better King and a better Kingdom to hope in and live our lives for. We married in 2001 and now have three boys – Noah (18), Eli (14), and Liam (11).

In 2007 we helped lead a new church plant called Charis Community Church in Bloomington/Normal, where Jon has served as lead pastor for the last 15 years. Our love and commitment to Jesus has only grown as we’ve experienced his grace time and time again through embedding ourselves among his people on his mission.

In 2016 Jon helped form a network of area pastors who longed to see gospel-centered churches planted in the small towns of Central IL. In 2021 Jon sensed a desire to plant a new church in one of these small towns, and as he shared his desire with Beth, church leaders from Charis, and close friends, that desire grew as they affirmed that desire.

As we were seeking the Lord’s leadership, a close friend from Metamora told Jon that he and his wife had been praying for several years for a church planter to come to Metamora to plant a new, gospel-centered church they could partner with. After more confirmation and affirmation from others, we sensed the Lord leading us to join in what God is already doing in Metamora.

So, we are moving to Metamora, IL in 2023 in order to plant Partridge Point Community Church.

We need your partnership to build a church family that will demonstrate the grace, beauty, and presence of Jesus and to hold out the hope of the gospel to the Metamora/Germantown hills area.
